This tenant improvement of approx. 2,500 SF is located in the heart of the historic district Gaslamp Quarter, downtown San Diego.
Originally built in 1893 this historic structure was falling apart and a lot of structural work had to be done. The building consists of a main floor space where the boutique is located and a mezzanine level for the hair salon. The grand staircase dominates the space and the new skylight brings great natural light and new life into the building.
One of the main goals in the design process was to merge the historical look (exposed brick walls, wood beam ceilings, tin tiles) with a more contemporary yet classical feeling.
